Care built around you

Understand what is limiting your movement.

Maybe pain is making everyday tasks harder. Maybe you feel stiff, limited or unsure how to get moving again. We take the time to understand your symptoms, your movement and what you want to get back to.

Our neurofunctional approach looks at how your nerves, muscles and joints work together. That assessment guides a coordinated plan of treatment, exercise and practical advice, adapted to your needs and response to care.

01 / ASSESS

Understand the whole picture.

We look at your symptoms, movement and health history, then take the time to explain what may be contributing to your pain. Understanding what’s going on can help you feel more in control of your pain and health.

02 / TREAT

Care that adapts to you.

Hands-on therapy, electro-acupuncture and dry needling are part of our treatment toolkit. Your practitioner selects the techniques that fit your assessment and preferences, with your consent.

03 / BUILD

Leave with a plan.

Leave with exercises and guidance built around your lifestyle that you can use between visits. Your plan evolves with your progress, needs and goals.

Your first visit

A full hour.
A clear place to start.

Your initial appointment includes both assessment and treatment, based on your needs. There is time to talk, move and make a plan together.

  1. Tell us what is holding you back.

Discuss your symptoms, history and the activities you want to get back to.

  2. Assess your movement. Begin your care.

Your practitioner assesses how you move, explains their findings and begins appropriate treatment with your consent.

  3. Know what comes next.

Get practical exercises, guidance and a recommendation for follow-up care that fits your goals.

be wondering.

Who is this care for?

Anyone looking for help with pain, stiffness or movement limitations. Your goal might be making everyday tasks easier, keeping up with your kids, returning to the gym or playing a sport.

Should I book physiotherapy or chiropractic?

Both practitioners use assessment, hands-on care and exercise within their own professional scope. If you have a preference, a referral or benefits for one profession, book that practitioner directly. If you’re unsure, call us and we can help you choose.

What does physical therapy mean at iON?

It is our shared approach to assessment, hands-on treatment and exercise rehabilitation, delivered by physiotherapists and chiropractors trained in neurofunctional care and acupuncture. The profession you book determines the service you receive.

How does care progress after my first visit?

Start with assessment and treatment. Your first visit includes time to understand your concern, begin treatment and set an initial plan.

Review your response and adapt. At the next visit, we assess what has changed, explore what needs more attention and adjust your treatment.

Refine your ongoing plan. As your response becomes clearer over the early visits, we discuss what fits next: continued care, support as needed, or maintenance and performance goals. The number and timing of visits depend on your needs and progress.

Will I receive acupuncture, dry needling or an adjustment?

These are treatment options, not requirements. Your practitioner recommends techniques based on your assessment, preferences and their scope of practice. They’ll explain the options and ask for your consent before treatment.

Can I use my health benefits?

Coverage depends on your plan and the profession you book. Check your physiotherapy or chiropractic coverage, including any referral requirements, with your insurer before your visit. Book the profession covered by your plan; the shared service name does not change your practitioner’s professional designation.

What should I wear or bring?

Wear comfortable clothing that lets you move and allows access to the area you’d like assessed. Bring any relevant reports and complete the intake forms Jane sends before your appointment.

What if I’ve been to iON before?

Choose the follow-up appointment recommended by your practitioner. If you have a new concern or are unsure which session to book, call us at 519-340-0358 so we can help you select the right visit.
