Choose your testing
Choose one-time or twice-yearly Core testing. We enrol you with NiaHealth; activate your account and complete your health profile.

Complete your collection
Follow the preparation and collection instructions for your test. Collection arrangements and any additional fee are confirmed before booking.

Receive your medical review
NiaHealth nurse practitioners review the findings and provide your report and recommendations online.

Connect findings to your care
Use the findings to discuss appropriate next steps. Any new iON service is chosen and booked separately.

Already working with iON? With your consent, your practitioner can access relevant findings and discuss them during your usual paid appointments. Testing does not include an extra visit, a new written plan or continuous monitoring.

Lab Testing FAQ
Who can be tested?
Testing is for adults aged 18 and older, excluding pregnancy and the first year postpartum. Samples must be collected in your home province in Canada. Quebec and the territories are not served. NiaHealth confirms eligibility during onboarding; a health card is not required.
Where is my sample collected?
Reports are online, but blood collection takes place in Canada. Dynacare supports clinic draws in Ontario and Manitoba, and LifeLabs in British Columbia. Ask about arrangements and any extra collection fee in other eligible provinces.
Does testing include a consultation?
The price includes a written medical review and recommendations from NiaHealth nurse practitioners. A live NiaHealth clinician consultation and on-demand retesting are not included. You can explore NiaHealth directly for their consultation options.
What does twice-yearly mean?
Two Core testing rounds over twelve months for $699 CAD per year. This is not a monthly coaching subscription. Ask for the second-round, cancellation and renewal terms before purchasing.
Can I add training or coaching?
Yes. Training, nutrition coaching and Performance Health Coaching are available separately. Choose the support that fits your goals; testing is not required to start.
Is this chiropractic care?
Lab testing is a separate product. NiaHealth provides the medical review; it is not a chiropractic assessment or treatment appointment.
How are taxes handled?
Prices are in CAD. Ask for an itemized quote showing any applicable taxes before purchasing. Tax treatment depends on the testing or service purchased.
Is testing covered by benefits?
Testing is privately paid and may be eligible through a health spending account. Ask for an itemized receipt and check with your plan; reimbursement is not guaranteed.
Does iON benefit from selling testing?
iON resells NiaHealth testing and earns a margin on it. You can also buy testing from NiaHealth directly; either way, your care at iON is the same.
